Favorite Characters

This week I want to take all of you guys on an adventure into my brain. I am fairly new to this whole blog, but I want to introduce you to some of the characters that I hold very dear to my heart.

As some of you may know, I love to read. However, this week I am not going to focus on that. I may make a separate post for book characters, but this week I am going to focus on mostly shows and anime that I have seen and the characters that I fell in love with along the way.

#1: Denki Kaminari (My Hero Academia)

As soon as I saw this man, I immediately fell in love. This flirty blond is so funny and kind in every way. He loves to joke around with his friends and is always there to lend a helping hand.

He’s adorable, no?

He was first introduced in episode 5 of the anime (chapter 5 of the manga) and I have loved to watch him grow and learn through the show that started its fifth season this year. Trust me, if this man was real, I would marry him on the spot. In my opinion, he has one of the most powerful “quirks” in the whole show, and he has learned to fine tune his powers for the greater good of becoming a professional hero someday!

If you haven’t already and you want to try out an anime, I highly recommend My Hero Academia. It may be a little mainstream, but it has a good plot and lots of loveable characters.

#2: Kuroo Tetsuro (Haikyuu)

This is one of my more unusual comfort characters. Not usually a character I would like, but for some reason, again fell in love with.

He is the captain of Nekoma’s boy’s volleyball team, a middle blocker, and somewhat of a chemistry nerd. He is constantly pushing his team to get better and I admire that. His smirk is my absolute favorite and he is always caring for and pushing his best friend Kenma. He hasn’t gotten much screen time in all that I have watched, but that has not stopped me from absolutely loving his character.

#3: Tamaki Amajiki (My Hero Academia)

Tamaki Amajiki is part of the “Big Three” in UA high school, which means that he is one of the best in his whole school. Despite this title, he is one of the most self-conscious characters in the series.

For me, he is a super cute addition to the whole show. While his power and skills are both really impressive, he still has some work to do on his self confidence, but nonetheless, I still absolutely love Tamaki Amajiki. I love his character and his self spoken personality. Plus, I think he would give a really good hug.

#4: Chat Noir (Miraculous: The Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir)

Of course I had to include my favorite cat boy in here. Along with his puns and his personality, what is there not to love about him? He is devoted and will never give up on his lady. His alter ego, Adrian Agreste, is oblivious but I love him too.

I don’t think that there has been a ton of development for him throughout the show, but I still love to just sit back and watch him save the day with Ladybug. He has my horrible sense of humor, and I absolutely love him for it. So of course, naturally, he had to be included in this list.

#5: Pidge Gunderson (Voltron)

Anime 2.jpg

This is definitely one of my older favorite characters. I haven’t watched Voltron in over two years, but I do remember loving to watch it over and over and over again when I was younger. This is the newest version of the show that has been released.

The reason why I loved Pidge so much was because of her wits and what she could do with all of her technology. I found it cool that she was just so passionate about what she did. You could see her grow and change through the show, which I found really cool too.

Pidge Gunderson is also the pilot and paladin of the green lion. She helped the team in ways no one else could, and I think the rest of her team knows that. I’m sure that they all love her just as much as I do.

#6: Izuku Midoriya (My Hero Academia)

Finally, we are going to end this article with one of my newest favorite characters, Izuku Midoriya (also known as Deku). He is the main character of My Hero Academia, a show that I have talked about a few times now. I have recently grown fond of him in the newest episodes and in the newest season, but I’ve always liked him. Although he cries a lot, he really does have an amazing character.

Throughout the show, you can see him grow and change as he learns to use his newfound powers. He never gives up and is always ready for a challenge. I have loved to watch him grow throughout the show. He is a caring and kind soul, and maybe that’s why I love him so much.

I was talking to a friend the other day about some of these characters and others, and she told me that I like the kind of guy/character that is a golden retriever personified. Is that true? And if it is, is that so bad? Anyway, I would like to thank you all for listening to me and taking a journey inside of my mind today.

Until next time,
Peace Out Lovers!

Hello beautiful people! I am Scarlett Mae, and I am a Hopeless Romantic.

I am so happy to be given the opportunity to work with this wonderful blog and these amazing ladies. I hope that I can bring yet another perspective to this already amazing and chaotic world Chloe and Emily have created. And a piece of advice while I’m here, read what I write through a fairy’s eyes. Full of wonder.
